Just got back from Tampa.
We had an intimate speak out at City Hall in Tampa denouncing the idea of the clean zone and pretty much blasting the Republican party for it’s anti-immigrant, anti-woman, etc platform and how it was our right to speak out against that. We had a lot of media there as well as police when we marched to City Hall. It was strange because there was only about 26 people in this peaceful protest but yet there was 7 police officers. Alas! We live in visible police state.
Overall a good experience but there’s a lot of work to be done to make this successful and hopeful the city council votes against the clean zone. Activists from around the states and press internationally will be ascended on Tampa in August and I really hope to be there for that experience.
SN: On the way back home while feigning sleep I had the experience of having three lady friends discuss their intimate lives. Haha, yeah that was a new experience for me. It just shows me that I’m not ready for any type of relationship until I feel content that I’m the person I want to be. Also I find it really displeasing when activists whose jobs it is to be advocates for the downtrodden and oppressed display glimpses of sexism. It’s just a contradiction and it motivates to be more respectful of women.

In January Rick Scott said “I don’t believe in tuition hikes”! The Florida Senate recently passed SB 1752 which would allow UF and FSU to raise their tuitions above the current 15% cap, setting a dangerous precedent in Florida. These tuition hikes, along with drastic cuts to Bright Futures and the high rate of unemployment in our state will lead to catastrophic consequences for the ability of working and middle class students to afford higher education in Florida. So join in with the Florida Alliance for Student Action in demanding that Governor Rick Scott veto SB 1752 http://chn.ge/AFjKMQ Tell Rick to Keep his Promise

Picture proof that Republican Mitt Romney has always been a wealthy, elitist, out-of-touch, douchebag.
